Alzheimer's by *kscreations The suggester says: "This is amazing on so many levels. It's a very creative depiction of a disease which is too prominent in our world today, and I love the way he chose to use photographs and other pieces of visual art to symbolize what I interpreted as memories. This is a beautiful piece that combines creativity and art with the reality of a devastating disease." ( Suggested by TwiggyTeeluck and Featured by LabyrinthCreations )

Thank you

It has a wire lath structure with store-bought papier-mâché pulp and painted with acrylic paint with sand added to it

It's not so bad right now. Mostly it's just that she has trouble remembering that some people are dead already, and she's aware of it.

My grandma has Alzheimer's and my mom might have it :(, it's a heartbreaking disease. More of a curse than a disease. If I could give up my life to give life back to one Alzheimer's victim, I would do it.

A very sad, but beautifully depicted concept. My gramps had alzheimer's before he died. It was really hard to see him not recognize my mom anymore.

This sculpture is incredible; having experienced loss of a family member to a similar disease, I can personally (to an extent) fathom the meaning of what this depicts. I think this is an excellent work. Well done.
